How many sessions can I have with a Mental Health Care Plan?
With a MHCP, you’re typically eligible for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The first referral is usually for 6 initial sessions. After these sessions, your progress will be reviewed by your GP and if further support is needed, your GP may authorise an additional 4 sessions.
What happens if I need more than 10 sessions?
